Being sick is no fun at all. Off to the doctor to get meds tomorrow!
Anyway, I just realized it’s been a week since my last post. I need to stay more on top of this blog! My cousin posted a song by Hawk Nelson today and it reminded me how much I miss Letters to the President. It’s funny how I still remember every word to every song on the album. (I had that CD back before I even owned an MP3 player and when the time came to burn all my music onto a computer, it was mysteriously missing… I’ll have to use some Christmas money to go back and repurchase it from iTunes.)
Yesterday, I played a show at Boney Junes in Evansville, which kicked off the string of December shows I’m finishing out the year with. The day included Buffalo Wild Wings and Cold Stone Creamery, which automatically makes it a tough show to beat. Also, the people who come out to my shows in Evansville are always super friendly and the local bands are great, so overall it was a great show.
So now I have three days to rest and try to recover from my illness before shows this weekend in Columbus and Grand Rapids. I have friends coming to the Columbus show, and it will be my second show at the Mixtape Cafe in Grand Rapids, so I’m really looking forward to them, and hopefully people who came to the show back in July will bring friends this time around!
Also, my birthday is only one week away! Which interestingly enough, means that Taylor Swift’s birthday is only one week away, and my dad’s too. (Last year, I forgot to get him a gift, which is sad since we have the same birthday… I already have it taken care of for this year though!)
